Introduction

This is one tour that is bound to make you feel bad that you were not born in India a few centuries back, in a royal family. The intricate marble sculptures in the magnificent palaces of the Rajasthani kings are sure make you wish you had lived there. The grandeur of the buildings is certainly such that you will never get to see anywhere. And the surprise is that many of the palaces are still inhabited by the royal heirs.

Day

From the fertile banks of the Yamuna you travel to the arid desert region of India. Different topography, different people, different culture and yet united by the feeling called India. The pink city will welcome you with a vibrancy not seen elsewhere.

You can be overwhelmed by the magnificence of the Amber Fort or surprised by the knowledge of the ancient Indians at the Jantar Mantar, the old observatory which has a huge sundial. See the beautiful architecture of the palaces. Click a selfie with a camel. Try to tie the Rajasthani headwear. Jaipur offers you a lot.

From the pink city to the blue city. Jodhpur is characterized by the blue colors painted on most of the buildings in this city, the second largest in Rajasthan. There are many explanations for the blue colored buildings, but we leave you to just enjoy the soothing sight. It is also the seat of the Rajputs the brave kings of India.

You get a chance to mingle with one of the oldest tribes of India, the Bishnoi, who are native to this part of Rajasthan. Jodhpur lies at the dead center of Thar desert and it is pleasing to see so much greenery in the tribal villages. You can see the huge Mehrangarh Fort that overlooks the city of Jodhpur. The museum here is worth a visit.

From the deserts we take you to the city of lakes, one of the romantic cities in Rajasthan, at the foothills of the Aravalli ranges. You will treat your eyes to the magnificence of the Jain temples on the way, including the largest of them, the Chaumukh Temple which has 29 halls and 1444 pillars. No two pillars are carved with the same figures!

Get a chance to see a rare building that is at the same time a palace, a museum and a luxury hotel. Get amazed at the beauty of its architecture. Take a boat ride around the marble Lake Palace. We wish the water level will let you enjoy the cruise. Visit the garden of maidens and see the lovely lotuses in full bloom, but don’t forget to know the history behind the garden. We will keep that a secret for now.
